The Hon. District Chief Executive joined the rest of the nation to commemorate the 65th independence day anniversary celebration with the theme ” Working Together, Bouncing Back Better”. the hon. district chief touch on the efforts made by government in infrastructure, to enable effective teaching and learning in the various schools in the district. she reiterated the the developmental agenda for the Medium Term Development Plan for 2022 to 2025 which focuses on agenda for jobs ” Creating Prosperity and equal opportunity for all” In ensuring that teachers in the district are a braced with information communication technology (ICT) the government led by his excellency the president of the republic of ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has implemented the ” one teacher, one laptop policy” were a total of 633 laptops were distributed to teachers whiles the directorate await 872 consignments from Government this year. this was also complimented by the USAID with 101 laptops to teachers under the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project. (GALOP). The District Chief concluded her speech by appeal to all to observed the covid-19 protocols where ever they are. she use the phase wash your hands under running water and also encourage them to observe social distancing.
