The Disaster Management and Prevention unit assists the planning and implementation of programmes to prevent and\/or mitigate disaster in the MMDAs within the policy framework of national policies.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\n\n\n\n<\/span>\r\n

As part of its preventive role, the unit assists and facilitates education and training of volunteers to fight fires, etc. and organizes public disaster education campaign programmes.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\n\n\n\n<\/span>\r\n

The Disaster Management and Prevention unit ensures that there is an adherence to rules in respect of private and public properties to ensure adequate protection against disaster.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
